COLUMBUS—Attaché CEO Jason Janoski has been appointed Chairman of the Board of Advisors for Central Ohio Red Cross Biomedical Services. Janoski received the new title at the annual meeting of the Red Cross Board. The motion to appoint Janoski was unanimously approved.

"I am extremely honored," said Janoski, who began volunteering for the Red Cross in 1998 and has been an active board member for the past eight years, serving on the marketing, executive and JCOLA committees. Janoski Chairs the JCOLA group, a committee of local hospital leaders and Red Cross Board members designed to collaborate on the most challenging issues the two groups face together: blood safety, availability and cost management.

Janoski is also a past winner of the National Red Cross Biomedical Achievement Award, presented annually to an individual who has fostered innovative practices to achieve strategic priorities.

"It's about working together," he said of his continuing involvement with the Red Cross. "I've had great mentors along the way. Previous Chairs have helped the entire organization grow and develop and they've me to grow and develop, personally and professionally. I certainly hope to be able to pass that along."

Jason looks forward to continuing the initiatives developed by his predecessor, Patricia Dove. "We're constantly improving processes and procedures that get—and keep—Board members engaged," Janoski added.
